Taft Family Ventures

Assistant Superintendent

After graduating, I began my career in construction, fully engaging in learning the profession from the ground up. My projects include three large and medium-scale multifamily unit complexes in Garner, Durham, and Raleigh, North Carolina. Under the guidance of the Site Superintendent, I supervise and support subcontractors, ensure timely scheduling, conduct walkthroughs with inspectors, perform daily material and labor headcounts, complete and submit daily reports, and maintain a safe and clean worksite.

In addition to these responsibilities, I perform stormwater assessments after rain events exceeding 1 inch across multiple Taft sites, not just my current assignment. This increase in responsibility, following my stormwater certifications, allows me to generate NPDES reports, reinforcing my commitment to environmental compliance. This role has reinforced the importance of safety, teamwork, and effective scheduling in a dynamic environment.
